Tasmania Roadtrip - Week 3 - Macquarie Heads

Strahan is located on the shores of Macquarie Harbour about a 20 minute drive from here. This area is known as Hells Gates as the two rocky outcrops guard the entrance to the harbour. You can see how important the Bonnet Island Lighthouse is. The island is also known for its colony of little penguins.
